Senior Benefits Specialist

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is the benefits analysis really a free service?

Yes. It's free for federal employees. FESA never charges federal employees for any of our services.

2. How do you get paid?

Our business model is to work with federally regulated supplemental benefit providers. I will explain and provide examples during the benefits analysis.

3. What are you selling?

There is nothing to buy. A Personal Benefits Analysis is a service appointment. You won't need a checkbook or credit card. The service I provide puts more money in your pocket throughout retirement.

4. Do I need a computer?

No. A computer helps, but it's not required. During this ongoing pandemic, I do everything by phone. In certain situations, it may be easier to share my computer screen with you to go over details. In those cases, I send you a link by email. You click on it. My screen appears.

5. How long does a benefits analysis take?

I try to cover everything in less than an hour. Retirement planning is a topic with many different parts. The PBA booklet I send you is a valuable resource. I always suggest a second appointment to review the booklet and answer all your questions. I make sure you fully understand all of your benefits so you get the most of of your retirement. Consider it an ongoing service. I will always be available to help you as your mobile HR manager.
